Dr. Tejinder Khaira DVM
Dr. Khaira has been practising veterinary medicine in Alberta for over 15 years. Throughout his career, he has continuously taken courses to improve his skills and familiarize himself with the latest surgical developments, especially in the area of orthopedics. Dr Khaira has been performing Luxating Patellas and routine Cruciate Ligament Repair for quite some time. Recently, he has gotten certified in Advanced Orthopedics for TPLO and TTA (advanced Cruciate Ligament Repairs) as well as fracture repairs. When not at the clinic, Dr. Khaira can be found spending time with family and exploring spirituality.
Dr. Kirstin Sprissler DVM
Dr. Sprissler graduated from Guelph's Ontario Veterinary College in 2005 with an interest in small animal and exotic medicine. After spending several years at a rural practice in Alberta, she joined our team at the Panorama Hills Animal Hospital in 2011. In her spare time, Dr. Sprissler enjoys skiing and mountain biking, as well as spending time with her dog Norah.
Meet our Animal Health Technicians
Animal Health Technologist
Mariela is one of our Animal Health Technologists. She graduated from Olds College in 2015. She currently has a Bichon Frise mix named Koko. In the future, she hopes to have an American Staffordshire Terrier and a Golden Retriever. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends exploring Calgary and it's surrounding area.
Head Registered AHT/ Manager
Born and raised in Calgary Alberta, Heather grew up surrounded by all types of pets: dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, rabbits and guinea pigs. She attended and graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2006. She currently resides in Airdrie, with 4 cats (April the Snowshoe, Winchester the Rex Mix, Amara a rescue, and Gator, a teacup persian). She also has a French Bulldog, Shetland Sheepdog and Co-owns a Great Dane. Heather has worked with us since our opening in November 2010. Her main interests and specialty areas include dermatology, the frisky and feisty feline companions, orthopedics and exotics.
Meet our Assistants and Receptionists
Part Time Receptionist
Rorie started working for us part time in 2015. With over 15 years experience in the financial industry, she is a great asset to our team. She is a grandmother to two French Bulldogs named Bruno and Roscoe. In her spare time she loves spoiling her furbabies and spending quality time in the outdoors and going to the gym.
Full Time Veterinary Assistant
Tara joined our practice in August 2015. Her love of animals and previous veterinary experience while working toward her degree in Zoology brought her back after many years of working from home. She owns a handsome Bearded Dragon named Charlie and an adorable Bichon Shih Tzu named Dusty. In her off-time, Tara loves spending time outdoors if she is biking, hiking or spending time with her family.

Christine started as a volunteer with us in 2014 during her first year of University. When she is not studying or spending time with family, she is working at the clinic as one of our part time assistants. Most recently, she went to Cuba to study in hopes to become a Veterinarian in the future. She owns a 5 year old Cavapoo named Cookie.
